Hello book besties!!Today I will share with you books that I thought were either overhyped,worth it or underhyped.And this is just my opinion,it’s totally fine if you have a different one.Let’s get started💞!

Overhyped

Let’s start with the over hyped books.Firstly Powerless by Lauren Roberts. Now, don’t get me wrong,I enjoyed reading this book,but it wasn’t a masterpiece like a lot of people make it seem. It’s definitly slow burn and has a lot of yearning,but my rating for it is 4 stars.

I had so much high hopes for this book ,but I ended up DNFing it at 85% cause of the super annoying main character.Like why is she always crying???I get that she’s a super sensitive girl,and I know someone who’s like that personally so I know how very sensitive they are,but not like that though.She almost does nothing except cry in the whole part of the book that I read when she could’ve done the smallest of things.I found it irritating and I was disappointed in that book 🙁

worth it

This trilogy was so hyped a while ago and it still is, so I thought I needed to give it a try since I loved Caraval so much. And let me tell you, it was soooo worth it! I absolutely loved it and it lived up to the hype for me.Totally 5 stars!!

A couple months ago I kept seeing a lot of people talk about The Naturals series,so I wanted to read it to see if it’s really worth it.It’s written by Jennifer Lynn Barnes , the author of Inheritance games.And I thought that these were the only books by her,but I was so wrong cause she has a couple more books she’s written.I ended up enjoying this series and it was super fun especially the last book.The only thing I’m not a fan of though is the love triangles,they’re infuriating!!!

underhyped

The Wrath and the Dawn duology was the most similar books to Rebel of the sands trilogy, the books that got me back into reading , and I loved it so so much.The story is amazing and the romance is really good! I haven’t seen anybody really talk about it except for once , when I saw the ig reel that convinced me to read the duology.Other than that I’ve seen none.

I have said it before and I will say it again , The SJTR series is super underhyped and I recommend anyone who loves dark academia , historical fiction , mystery and a good romance to read it.Trust me, you will thank me later 😉
