Cute Spring book recs|Mariam’s bookcafe

April 26, 2025

Hello book besties!!Today I’ll share with you four book recs that are cute, cozy and their aesthetic fits the spring vibe perfectly. I’ve been loving spring so much lately and I think it might be my new fav season, what’s your fav season??I’d love to know! Let’s get started💞!!

♡♡♡♡

1.If You Could See the Sun
by Ann Liang

If You Could See the Sun is a very light , quick and fun book. It follows the main character Alice, a top student, as she discovers her new powers: Invisibility. You see her journey to figuring this power out, winning against her rival ,and still staying on top of class.I really enjoyed reading this book, it is a new, lighthearted story that you can finish in one sitting!

♡♡♡♡

2.OUABH trilogy by Stephanie Garber

The OUABH trilogy is a perfect read for spring. It has all the elements needed like the cute love story, pretty world building and wonderful plot twists. The story starts with Evangeline’s heartbreak , she tries to get her lover back ,but things turn out to be much more complicated than what she (and me) thought. This trilogy is absolutely whimsical in the best of ways, it transports you into the world that you’ll fall in love with.I highly recommend you to read Caraval trilogy first though.

♡♡♡♡

3.Emily Wilde’s Encyclopedia of Faeries by Heather Fawcett

This trilogy is another perfect read for spring. It’s a cozy YA fantasy that follows Emily Wilde a university professor as she does her research about faeries. She goes on many different adventures and meets many characters. I loved the first two books in this trilogy(I’m currently in the last book). It’s very magical , whimsical and super cozy, plus it has the best banter ever!! (Im not kidding!). But it’s kinda slow paced and I’m in a bit of a slump, so it’s not working so well for me. I am taking a break from it until I get out of this slump.

♡♡♡♡

4.Check & mate by Ali Hazelwood

This book is one of my favs from her since its a super cute YA romance. It’s a perfect mix between the complexity of chess and love. It follows Mallory as she tries to win the chess championship against Nolan, a worldwide chess champion so she could help her family out. I loved reading this story and the characters, it made me also understand chess and love it. I recommend you to read it if you’re looking for a cutesy YA romance this spring!!

♡♡♡♡

5.Us in ruins by Rachel Moore

Last but not least, Us in Ruins by Rachel Moore. I enjoyed reading this book a lot. It’s a historical fiction book set in Italy. It follows Margot as she goes on a quest to find a magical vase by the help of a journal written by a dead teen. When I tell you I absolutely loved this book, I am not kidding. It’s perfectly written, from the plot twist ,the story ,characters and romance .It’s all so wonderful. I finished this book in one sitting and felt so refreshed afterwards that I finally found an amazing YA romantasy after a long time.
